Description

Dermatix^® has been shown to flatten, soften and smooth scars, relieve the pain, itching and discomfort of scars as well as reduce any associated redness.

It is often recommended as a scar treatment by dermatologists and plastic surgeons.

Available in gel formulation, or in silicone sheets, which come as both clear and fabric in style.

Dermatix^® is a topical silicone gel for scar prevention in freshly healed wounds and reduction of prominent immature scars.

Dermatix^® Fabric Silicone Sheet is thin, self-adhesive and fabric backed. It is lined on one side with silicone, which sticks to the skin reducing and preventing scars. The other side is lined with smooth fabric, which makes the silicone sheet comfortable and convenient to use under clothing.

The thin Dermatix^® Clear Silicone Sheet provides a combination of transparency, flexibility and adhesiveness. It’s transparency offers minimal visibility for the wearer, for example when applied to exposed body parts.

The fabric and clear sheets can be washed with mild soap and water, making them reusable and easy to care for.

When should Dermatix^® not be used?
Dermatix^® should not be applied to unhealed open wounds.
Dermatix^® should not be placed in contact with mucous membranes, or applied too close to the eyes.
Dermatix^® should not be applied over other skin treatments without the advice of your doctor.

Are there any possible unwanted effects of Dermatix^® ?
Rarely, the gel may cause redness, pain or irritation to the skin. If you are concerned about these or any other unwanted effects, consult your pharmacist or doctor.
