Senokot Syrup contains calcium sennosides, which work as a laxative
for the short term relief of occasional constipation. Constipation is a
fairly common and uncomfortable complaint. It usually involves
difficult or irregular bowel movements, accompanied by hard, dry
motions which can be painful to pass. This medicine does not help
with weight loss.

Description
Adults, including the elderly and children over 12: One to two 5 ml spoonfuls at night.
A higher dose may be prescribed under medical guidance. The maximum recommended daily dose of hydroxyanthracene glycosides is 30 mg (20ml).
Children over 6 years: One to two 5 ml spoonfuls at night, under the guidance of a medical professional.
Children aged 2 to 6 years: Half to one 5 ml spoonful at night under the guidance of a medical professional.
